Sharing Shrine Symbols and an Internet Friendship

PERU, Queca Espinoza. Today in the afternoon, I had the joy of taking a friend I met via the Internet, Javier Cabral from Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, to the Molina Shrine. Schoenstatt’s International website united us some years ago, and today we were able to meet personally.

Javier arrived with his wife and with two ladies, Gloria and Magdalena. Now in our Shrines we have many of the same symbols, and the ones that we lack are for us to conquer. For example, I explained that our four stained-glass windows represent the four Schoenstatt Milestones. The crown in our Shrine that the Blessed Mother wears is from May 2007 and represents our desire for unity and apostolic fruitfulness.

When we visited the Father Room, I showed them two pictures by Luigi Crosio: one of the Blessed Mother and one of St. Joseph both have the Child Jesus in their laps.

In the sacristy, I showed them a photo of Cardinal Juan Luis Cipriani. Next they visited the bookstore that held some memories.

They liked the tranquility of the place and the bird songs they heard.

Tomorrow they leave for other beautiful places in my country like Cuzco, Puno Paracas, and they have promised me they will return and visit my city, Arequipa and the Peruvian Forest. Therefore in Arequipa, we will be expecting them to share other beautiful moments…
