Construction of Father’s House in Rome continues

Belmonte, agosto de 2011ROME, roma-belmonte.info. The work on Rome’s Father Kentenich House is progressing non-stop. After finishing the roof of the dormitory wing in August, they are now working to finish the enormous framework for the roof over the part of the house where the vestibule, activity hall, and the dining room will be located.

According to the blueprints, the roof over the vestibule spirals upwards like a shell. The wooden framework of the roof is supported by a steel structure.

This roof has a special accent; there is a skylight over the vestibule. Light will enter from above over the entrance.

In the weeks to come, this work will be completed. The next item on the agenda is plastering the exterior of the entire building.
