CHILE, M. Ximena Oportus de Martínez. On September 8th, the Ladies’ Branch from the Cordillera area celebrated Eucharist and breakfast, a day of double jubilees: It was the Blessed Mother’s birthday and Sister Margarita’s Morandé’s Golden Anniversary; she is the Branch Adviser of the Vitacura area.
It was a sunny morning when heaven opened to receive the prayers, songs, and greetings for the Mother Thrice Admirable and Sister Margarita.
Father Juan Ignacio Pacheco, Adviser of the Ladies’ Branch, celebrated the Eucharist, which gathered a hundred ladies, in the shadow of the Cenacle Shrine of Providence in the community of the Providence of James. The rite of gratitude for this double celebration was accompanied by the “Living Monstrance” Choir of the Ladies’ Branch.
A rosary was offered for Sister Margarita
During the breakfast that was served in the Father Kentenich Auditorium near the Shrine, expressions of acknowledgement and congratulations were extended to Sister Margarita. In a symbolic act, the Ladies’ Branch, Providence area, presented her with a crystal dish with hundreds of Rosary “beads”, each one of them represented a “rosary offered” on her behalf, as expression of gratitude for her loyalty and her fruitful testimony of life.
