What it means to receive the Pilgrim Mother

Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign Meeting in AlabamaUSA, Catherine Johnson. Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign members gathered recently at St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, to honor our Blessed Mother at a special “Honor Mary, Our Queen, Our Mother” celebration.

After attending the parish’s First Saturday Mass, the Rosary was prayed, a re-commissioning service was held, and pilgrim MTA’s were crowned. Following the ceremony, members viewed a DVD during which Archbishop Timothy Dolan praised the Schoenstatt Movement and its members and a presentation on Schoenstatt followed. While discussing the impact of receiving the pilgrim MTA into their homes, one of the coordinators revealed that there are two non-Catholics who receive the Pilgrim Mother and who pray the Rosary. After the discussion, members enjoyed a pot luck lunch.
