INTERNATIONAL, Sandra Lezcano. At 9:00 a.m. on October 18th, children of different nationalities gathered to pray the Holy Rosary convoked by the “One million children praying the rosary”. The objective of this campaign is to gather the children at 9:00 a.m. every October 18th to pray the rosary asking the Blessed Mother for peace in the world and in every country.
In different corners of the world
On Sunday, October 17th at the Cathedral in the city of Rafaela (Province of Santa Fe, Argentina), the first and second year catechism children and their families gathered before the 11:00 a.m. Mass to pray for unity and peace for the world.
On October 18th at 8:50 a.m. before the start of the school day, the children from the Saint Joseph School in Rafaela prayed the Holy Rosary. The same activity was carried out during the afternoon session at Our Lady of Mercy School.
At the Wayside Shrine of Our Lady of Schoenstatt, the same convocation was also held, where a group of missionaries of the Rosary Campaign gathered to pray the Rosary joining in the petitions of the children for peace. On Sunday, October 17th, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish joined this current during the Sunday Mass dedicated to the children.
The children of the first year of catechism at the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe along with their catechist also prayed the rosary on October 18th joining children allover the world.
From the Wayside Shrine of Goya
In the hands of the children, who joined the worldwide campaign of the one million children praying the rosary guarded by the soldiers in the midst of blue and white ribbons delighting the Blessed Mother with their harmony of sound and color, the rosary beads became a living crown at the Wayside Shrine of Goya, Argentina.
Ciudad del Este
At several schools, wayside shrines, and neighborhoods of Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, people also gathered and accompanied the children in praying the Holy Rosary; the attendance of the children to offer the Blessed Mother this moment of prayer on October 18th has grown in this city.
Hamburg, Germany
Mrs. Leokadia Lewandowska from Hamburg -Neugraben, Germany, along with her daughter, informed all the schools in their surrounding area about the Campaign of “One million children”. Leokadia also placed posters on her mobile business vehicle, where she sells cold cuts and sausage.
On October 18th, the rosary was prayed with the children from the Polish Catholic Mission in Hamburg. It is the second time that they have participated in the “One million children” campaign, and they did it with much joy.
Cabo Rojo
Days later, at the Shrine of Solidarity in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, the nine to twelve year-old children also joined this beautiful current of “One million children praying the Rosary” as the closing of their retreat with the participation of the Apostles of Mary (girls age 9 – 12) and the Little Crowns of Mary (girls age 4 – 9). The month of the Rosary closed with this rosary for the Unity and Peace in the world and with the crowning of the Mother Thrice Admirable and Victress of Schoenstatt. There were crowns, little flags, songs, presentations of the mysteries of the Rosary and above all an atmosphere of family prayer. The children offered the Blessed Mother a beautiful rosary of pink carnations and two crowns representing all the children of Puerto Rico. The children went on pilgrimage with the flags, the Pilgrim MTA, the flowers, and the Rosary to the Shrine to receive the graces of our beloved Blessed Mother that were saved for them. They then went to the Pilgrims’ Center, where Father Albert celebrated the Eucharist that concluded with a very special blessing for the children who attended.
A noble mission that conquers the children and adults
Every year more children join the Campaign of One million children praying the rosary, whose noble mission awakened the hearts of children in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and America.
The rosary has been prayed in schools, parishes, wayside shrines and homes by asking for peace throughout the world and every country.
