This year Schoenstatt on the Lake hosted a large gathering of men, women and children who came to hear a presentation by Fr. Francisco Rojas, the Schoenstatt Father responsible for the Minnesota Schoenstatt Family. He explained the motto for the Schoenstatt Family in the USA, Father, Give Us Your Light, and also the motto for the entire Schoenstatt Family for the coming three years before 2014: Your Covenant, Our Mission.

Covenant of Love

Outside the Family Jubilee ShrineThis was followed by Holy Mass and a lunch. The songs for the Mass were prepared and led by the Schoenstatt Girls Youth of this area. Several members of the Schoenstatt Girls Youth made their Covenant of Love in the Shrine after Mass as did a Schoenstatt Mother from the area.

In the afternoon a play about the life of Schoenstatt’s Founder, Fr. Kentenich, was presented by young men belonging to the Schoenstatt Young Men’s groups in Wisconsin and Minnesota. This play was prepared in memory of the 100th anniversary of the ordination of Schoenstatt’s Founder and was also performed in two Schoenstatt Centers in Wisconsin.

The day ended with the renewal of the Covenant of Love in the Shrine and the coffee and cookies before beginning the often hours long journey home, renewed in body and soul.

Yes we loved the play the young men worked so hard at preparing and then performing for us at the 100th anniv of Fr. Kentenich’s ordination in Waukesha. We thank these young men for all their efforts for Schoenstatt and beg them to continue their great works. Sincerely and Peace…Sally LeRoy AZ
