The Third International Auxiliary in the Original Shrine

Holy Mass in the Original Shrine, September 10On Friday morning, September 10th, the Third International Auxiliary and many Pilgrim MTAs – presided at the Holy Mass in the Original Shrine before going out for the course of the day toward Erlenback, where tonight about 30 youth, Sisters of Mary Schoenstatt Fathers amd seminarians will begin with the second mission in Germany. They were profoundly touched when they realized that their sending forth was on the 60th Anniversary of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign.

It was on September 10, 1950, when Sister Teresina gave the picture to John Pozzobon; which would later be called the “Original Pilgrim – this Picture will play an important role in the celebrations of 2014. This was the beginning of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign, which is now present in more than 100 countries of the world. After the Mass, Brother German Arendes, a loyal companion of John Pozzobon commented: John must be very happy now. He recalled that during his last encounter with him, after they bid farewell, he addressed me again saying: Foco, Foco! Fire, fire.” As if to say – Inflame the world now with the fire of the Covenant!

Paraguay: The last theatrical presentations of “Kentenich, a man, a mission

actorsThe last theatrical presentations of “Kentenich, a man, a mission will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Friday the 10th, Saturday the 11th, and Friday, September 17th. It is a work performed by amateurs (54 people including actors, orchestra and choir), but it is driected by a professional, Julio Saldaña, who with the assisatance of Liber Fernández has been able to work with such a diverse group.

The public can only enjoy three more performances. This event has created quite a sensation among the public, perhaps because ordinary people are on the stage: adults, youth and even children, make the experience a true story; perhaps it is not perfect, but it is done with much feeling. There are some complete families who make up the cast, which is truly admirable considering the long hours of rehearsals that are necessary to stage such a challenging work.

The work is a version of Julio Saldaña based on the orginal script, “Kentenich” of Luis Hernadez and it relates the story of Father Joseph Kentenich, who overcame adversities (imprisonment, the concentration camp, exile) with complete the cofidence that he was an instrment of God; he founded the Schoenstatt Movement, which is presently in more than 130 countries, including Paraguay.

The work contains songs and live music under the direction of Hernán Brugada. The multi-media projection was prepared by Julito Chansis. The costumes, under the direction of Teresita Cabral, are quite a style show since there are constumes from 3 different eras. The work contains a very positive message and the clear and outstanding example of a very simple person, such as Joseph Kentenich, but he was conscious that his life marked history. It is a work that fills the soul.
