PARAGUAY, Gabriela González Bogarín. Our Father and Founder would say that the only Bible which modern man reads is practical living religiosity…..and that we should make that Bible known….. He left us the legacy and the task to be witnesses of life….. Men and women who strive for sanctity in daily life…..he asked us to be a spark and to go and set the world on fire!
This is how he called a few and shared with them an idea which had been gestating for some time in his heart: Why not take the drama of eight years ago and give it new life? It would be a beautiful gift for me and for the entire family!
A few crazy ones in the beginning, many more later on; we began to form ourselves interiorly and as performers for such a noble task!
Always anew I became absorbed with the details of his life
I think that I should always ask myself when facing a determined event: “For what?” and not simply “Why?” In that way I assumed the gift which Father was giving me: the opportunity to deepen my childlike covenant…..and it was not necessary to read more books on his life….. simply not missing the rehearsals, doing everything wholeheartedly and consciously renouncing many things, according to how the weeks passed, everyone’s treasury of grace grew, our bond was secured in the smiling Father who embraced us…
Always anew I became absorbed with the details of his life; those things which made him so special to those who were with him and so unforgettable for all of us who did not have that opportunity, but who, however, have him so tangible in our lives.
Make the life of our Father known
Five months of meetings, renunciations and sacrifices…..family and friends did not understand the necessity of so many hours of rehearsals, of asking for help for memorizing texts, the search for the appropriate costumes and much less when we found ourselves repeating texts or singing some of the songs….. I knew that the only ones who understood me were the other 54 persons who had the same urgency as I did: To make the life of our Father known! And we wanted it to be perfect!
That made us FAMILY! We suddenly understood that we were filled with life and we wanted to shout to the world that He had transmitted to us the idea of wanting to be different…..holy men and women who lived in the world, but without BEING of the world!
With the production, we became aware of how real his words are
Father is a prophet of our times…..with the production; we became aware of how real his words are…..when between jokes we speak with phrases from our texts which say exactly what we want to say! A few days after the fifth anniversary of my Covenant of Love, we arrived at the grand opening! It was a mutual gift filled with satisfaction and answers for me…
Whoever has a mission must fulfill it
As the performances continue, the people come up and simply say THANK YOU, but those words of each spectator contain all the emotions and personal experiences with Father…..in those times of performance, each heart is united with the heart of our Father and Founder and the Covenant of Love is strengthened…
Today, a few days before all is finished, the only word which I believe summarizes what I feel is THANK YOU…
To each cast member because we learned – with patience and love – to accept one another and to love one another…..and to understand that without the presence and essence of each one, it would not be the same and today we would not be a great family…
To our directors, Julio and Liber, who brought forth our talent, helping us to understand that “theater is presence” and that we are responsible for each other…
And especially to God, to Mother Mary and to my dear Father Joseph for choosing me and showing me anew that whoever has a mission must fulfill it even if one mortal leap follows another…
“Whoever wants to conquer hearts must give his/her own heart in return…..”
We hope to have conquered many hearts for God because we truly surrendered our hearts!
