From wayside shrine to wayside shrine

ARGENTINA, Claudia Lell. “By Mary’s hand, witnesses of faith”. The 21st Pilgrimage of Gratitude Crespo-Boca del Tigre, wayside shrine to wayside shrine was carried out with this motto… In the early hours of the morning, the community of Crespo (province of Entre Rios) was ready to offer the Blessed Mother a walk of twelve kilometers. The point of departure was the wayside shrine dedicated to the Mother and Queen of Life located in front of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. They departed for the area of Boca del Tigre escorted by the volunteer firemen of Crespo and the mobile transit unit of the city.

On the way, music and prayers encouraged the pilgrims who walked with abundant faith and gratitude to the Virgin listening to the reflections that filled the soul and touched them; they were accompanied by the sound of the birds and the morning breeze. They were filled with gratitude to be able to carry out this demonstration of faith for one more year, meditating on the holy rosary. There was a new stop on the road at the “Christ of Brotherhood” that was enthroned this year at the intersection of two routes. When they arrived at the chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes of Boca del Tiger, the picture of the Blessed Mother that is in the wayside shrine of this place waited for them surrounded by the neighbors, who welcomed them with tears in their eyes and shouts of long live the Virgin.

She went out to meet her children

They were not able to reach the wayside shrine (located five kilometers beyond the chapel) because the road was muddy as a result of the rain of the previous days, but the picture that is there went out to meet the pilgrims; it was carried by Mrs. Metz, the owner of the place. Father Juan Frank, who is always available for this group, celebrated the Holy Mass that ended with the petition “do not stop carrying out these gestures of love for Mary…we will wait for you next year if it is God will”.

This wonderful procession that the Blessed Mother inspires in her children year after year concluded with a warm applause, which was not just directed at the Virgin, but also, for Father Juan, the pilgrims, and neighbors, who were present.
