The mystery of the Campaign is John Pozzobon’s mystery

org. On December 12th, thousands of missionaries of the Rosary Campaign celebrate the day of the Patroness of the Americas once again – it is also the birthday of a very simple man, who only God could have thought to call to complement the Schoenstatt Work with that large Movement of people and pilgrims that Father Kentenich had wanted from the beginning. Schoenstatt emerged from the catacombs with the Rosary Campaign, and it has literally extended to the ends of the earth. The strength and the warmth of the people’s faith and the capital of grace of millions of missionaries fill the jars of the Shrine.

John Louis Pozzobon (1904 -1985) from Brazil, a member of the Men’s Federation and the father of seven children, received a picture of the Mother Thrice Admirable of Schoenstatt in 1950 from a Sister of Mary who asked that he take it to families and pray the rosary with them.

He assumed this task, and he made it his own for thirty-five years until the day of his death. He walked more than 140,000 kilometers (86,991.97miles) with this picture taking it to homes, hospitals, schools, and jails motivating an attachment to the Virgin and the prayer of the Rosary everywhere.

Like all of God’s things this “Campaign” had a modest beginning. By 1984 it extended from South America to Central America and North America, as well as to Europe, Asia, and Africa: 120 countries in total.

In honor of this untiring apostle of the Blessed Mother, we published three articles – testimony and fruit of a missionaries’ pilgrimage from Paraguay to Santa Maria:
