I was sick and you visited me

ARGENTINA, confidentia.org.ar. This year Mary’s Volunteers will celebrate its 29th anniversary. Just like every year, approximately 120 volunteers from the capital and the interior will gather on September 8th, close to the National Shrine in Nuevo Schoenstatt. Father Alberto Eronti will celebrate the Holy Mass.

In adherence to the Year of the Father current, they will follow Father’s footsteps on the grounds of New Schoenstatt. At the conclusion of the meeting, they will go to the Zion Cemetery as a tribute to Raquel Ochoa de Sáenz Valiente, the founder of this great work, on the 6th Anniversary of her return to the Father’s House. Surely they will have a great and a dreamed of task in beginning the preparation for the 30th Anniversary of Mary’s Volunteers founded to provide spiritual and material assistance to hospitalized patients: “I was sick and you visited me.”

Presently there are 250 men and women volunteers who help in twenty-three Republic of Argentina public hospitals.

Thanks to the donations they receive from people and institutions, they collaborate in remodeling wings and equipping them with highly specialized equipment.

They donated a home for women and children with AIDS, they help hospitalized patients with their physical needs such as feeding, bathing, providing clothing, and toiletries.

They also help spiritually offering consolation and affection to the patients in their suffering, giving them peace, joy, and hope in God.
