Eleven people sealed the Covenant of Love

Alianza de AmorPERU, Queca Espinoza. Saturday, August 27th was an especially beautiful day in the Shrine with the presence of representatives of the Family from all the dioceses of Lima. In the morning talk, Sister Petra spoke about the importance of the father in the home, and the mother as the one who transforms the house into a home.

The Eucharist was scheduled for twelve o’clock, a few minutes before, it was announced that Bishop Salvador Piñeiro, who was to be the celebrant, would be unable to attend. The plan was changed and the lunch hour was earlier to allow time to find another priest. Happily, Father Jaime Llamas was available and the Holy Mass began at 2:00 p.m.

The subject about the family continued in the afternoon, and at the end, photos for the dioceses were taken. Something very nice: Samuel Castro, the spokesman for the commission, began to call each group and to arrange them around Sister M. Petra and the photo of Father Kentenich. He finished with the photo of all the participants at the door of the Shrine.

Covenant of Love

Sunday was another precious day; it began with the Covenant of Love of eleven pilgrims, the ceremony was presided by Father Paul Jaimes. Sister Petra presented each one with their Covenant medal.

Then Holy Mass and the surprise prepared in Mary’s Little School (a program for the children during the Mass): a bouquet of flowers presented to Sister.

During the afternoon, Sister Petra went to the former airport of Lima, where the Father and Founder was on Peruvian ground for three hours because of the malfunction of his plane.

That night Sister presented a PowerPoint, which she had prepared especially for Peru; it was very beautiful and motivational.
