ARGENTINA, jfl. Some 30 families from different cities in Argentina and Paraguay participated in the 5th Regional Chapter for the Institute of Families in New Schoenstatt.
With the presence of the General Superiors of the Institute of Schoenstatt Families, Bernhard and Elisabeth Neiser, the Assistant Priest General Fr. Marcel Mouras, and the Regional Family Superiors, Rodolfo and Mónica Concia, the 5th Regional Chapter took place in New Schoenstatt- Shrine of the Father, Florencio Varela (B.A). Invited were all families belonging to this region who have sealed their perpetual consecration.
The opening took place on Saturday, July 16th – founding day for the Institute in Dachau – with Holy Mass celebrated in the Church of God the Father, presiding was Fr. Juan Pablo Catoggio, Superior of the Schoenstatt Fathers of the La Plata Region. Concelebrating was Fr. Guillermo Mario Cassone. Also present were especially invited families from the League and Federation.
Election of representatives for the General Chapter
On the background of the 35th anniversary of the foundation of the Institute in Argentina, deliberations and taking care of requests/proposals received in the spirit for optimizing customs and enriching the spirituality of the community developed.
At the last luncheon, present in the dining room Solaz de Maria, were some twelve Sisters led by Sr. M. Elisa, Superior of the Sisters. They presented a beautiful song they had prepared stressing the importance of the Chapter and the Institute related to Father’s mission.
On the evening of the 18th, the kitchen range was dedicated. It was in honor of the first course “Sanctuarium Patris”(Shrine of the Father) who with their “YES” opened the doors in Argentina to this new ecclesial community who was convinced of the words of His Holiness John Paul II: “The future for humanity is forged in the family!” (F.C., 86).
Representatives
At the Final Sending Forth, the chapter families were elected who will represent the region at the 7th General Chapter which will take place in Schoenstatt, Germany in July of 2012. Elected were Marcelo and Rita Moviglia from La Plata and José and Silvia Sosa from Mendoza. They received the commission from the hands of Fr. Marcel.
