Something very strong attracted me

Santuario, Santa MariaBRAZIL, Vânia Maria Pontes. My attachment to Mary, Our Lady of Schoenstatt began when I got married, and I went to live in Santa Maria -RS. When I passed by a simple chapel, something very strong would attract me. I saw that there was a Sisters’ school, and I said to myself, “When I have a child I want him/her to study in this school.” And that is what happened.

Carolina, 2 years old, went to Girassol, and this is how we first got to know of Schoenstatt, through our small child, who could not even pronounce Father Kentenich’s name correctly. It was beautiful to hear some of the stories from her and all the words that were so difficult to say in our language!

We loved the affection and dedication of the Schoenstatt Sisters, and they brought us close to the school and to God.

She is always in a prominent place in our home

After visiting Santa Maria, my parents, who are ever present in our lives, obtained a beautiful picture of Our Lady of Schoenstatt and made it a gift to us. She is always in a prominent place in our home.

Those years at Girassol marked our lives as a happy time in the presence of God and of Mary, Our Lady of Schoenstatt.

Now more than ever, I perceive that Mary was always present, interceding for us, and carrying us in her motherly loving arms. We are a happy and united family. Our small child of then is now twenty-two years old.

Now, we live in Rio das Ostras, near Rio de Janeiro, and we participate in the Family Pastoral of the Parish of Our Lady of Conception. We would like to know about the possibility of participating in the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign.
