Mother: you, who greeted us in Caleta Olivia, also greet them

Caleta Olivia: Santa CruzARGENTINA, mkf. During these days, Inés Petiti, a Campaign missionary, related some anecdotes about her vacation in southern Argentina, where she found several wayside shrines of the Blessed Mother. “I share the greeting that the Blessed Mother gave us in Caleta Olivia,” she writes. “In Caleta Olivia, the Blessed Mother greeted us at a crossroad…Mother: ‘You, who greeted us in Caleta Olivia, also greet them.'” The extensive highways of Argentina are sown with wayside shrines, the places of grace, where the Mother Thrice Admirable of Schoenstatt grants the graces of the Shrine…

Inés traveled more than 1,000 km. from the Goya wayside shrine in the province of Corrientes to Southern Argentina greeting the Blessed Mother from wayside shrine to wayside shrine and through Her greeting the residents of the places, where she found the wayside shrines…At a gathering with friends, Inés related “how the Blessed Mother would make herself present, how I discovered her on the road… and my husband said: ‘It is that she is looking for the Blessed Mother, on the other hand, I feel that She is looking for us.'”

Comodoro Rivadavia

Santuario de Comodoro Rivadavia“I did not remember that She had a Shrine here. We were going to Puerto Madryn, and we spent one night at Comodoro Rivadavia.

In the morning, after breakfast, Aldo and I were driving along the ocean shore, when all of a sudden, I saw the Blessed Mother in a wayside Shrine. I got out running because it was an avenue, and there weren’t enough parking spaces.

She was in front of the ocean, I greeted her, I took some photos, and then I looked to the right…I saw the back part of the Shrine! I almost died! I told Aldo: let’s look for Armando and Beatriz (the couple who was traveling with us), and we will return because I have to enter the Shrine and visit Her. That’s what we did, and while I was going up, I prayed that it would be open…and yes, yes she welcomed me!

In General Roca

En Gral Roca: Río NegroWhen we were looking for a place to sleep in General Roca, we passed a crossroad, and I saw the Blessed Mother. I told everyone, but they kept going, it seemed that they did not believe me…

Looking toward where She was they told us where we could spend the night.

We returned to the place where I thought the Blessed Mother was. We arrived at the hotel, we bathed, and I told Aldo: ‘I am going out since it seemed that the wayside shrine of the Blessed Mother that I saw when we passed was nearby.’

He said: ‘I will accompany you.’ We turned the corner and there She was!

In El Calafate

In the very center of El Calafate, suddenly, there was the Blessed Mother granting us her graces and sheltering us.

From Santa Cruz – in extreme Southern Argentina – it is necessary to go through Chilean territory to cross the Strait of Magellan, and then travel approximately 140 km to arrive in Argentina once again.

The wayside shrine at the frontier

Ermita austral de la hermandadSomething similar to what happened to me in General Roca also happened here. When we passed through one of the customs houses, I saw the Blessed Mother; we could not stop because of the many cars behind us, but I remembered the place. I said when we return; I will see Her again.

On the return trip, I looked for Her as soon as we reached the first customs house in Tierra del Fuego, Argentinean territory, but She was not there. We crossed the Chilean customs house, but She was not there. We traveled 140 km, and we arrived at another Argentinean customs house in Santa Cruz. While the cars waited in line, I asked for the revision of documents. I could not have been so confused! It was night, I was sure that I was going to see Her. And that is what happened, She was there, I happily greeted my beloved Queen!

When I returned with the papers, I showed them the photo. They smiled, how did you find Her they asked. Yes, She is there, the precious Lady, taking care of her children in this place.

Puerto Madryn

Puerto MadrynMy encounter with the Blessed Mother at the wayside shrine of Puerto Madryn was also beautiful. I wrote to a girl from this beautiful place. In December I told her that I would be there in January, and I asked her to send me the Blessed Mother’s address. Candelaria answered saying that is She is in a very pretty place in Madryn. She sent me her cell phone number so that we could communicate when I arrived. I thought I had written it in my address book. When we arrived in Madryn, we went to the tourist information center. We looked for the local highlights, and I asked where the Blessed Mother was located. They told me that She was close to the Tehuelche Indian monument.

We spent a long time on sightseeing before I looked for Candelaria’s phone number, but I did not find it because I had not written it.

One day after lunch, while Aldo and the other couple rested, I said to myself: ‘I am going to visit the Blessed Mother. I asked at the hotel staff, where the monument was, and they told me that it was far, bordering the ocean, in place that was far away. It was 2:00 p.m., we had some sightseeing planned for 4:00 p.m. I went walking, since our hotel was in front of the ocean. The coast was beautiful…and I went forward. I walked for an hour and a quarter, and there in front of the ocean, I found this pretty wayside shrine of the Blessed Mother’s. It was beautiful! Just as Candelaria had said, it was at the most beautiful place. It is an historic place since this is where the first Welsh, who arrived in this area, landed and colonized it.

Cascallares and Mar del Plata

CascallaresWhen we were on the road to Mar del Plata, where we spent a few days, we found the Blessed Mother in M. Cascallares, in the province of Buenos Aires. And at Mar del Plata, we visited the Blessed Mother’s Shrine!”

“Mother, you, who greets us in all of your Shrines and wayside shrines, also greet them!” This is the network that unites us, the network woven from Shrine to Shrine…
