ARGENTINA, mpl. On July 24th, the pilgrimage on foot between the Wayside Shrine in Concepción del Uruguay and the Pronunciamiento Wayside Shrine was held once again, both sites are located about 100 kilometers apart in the province of Entre Rios on the Argentinean coast.
Around five hundred people participated with the majority being young people. They departed from 9 Julio and Rosario streets at the Wayside Shrine located in a small playground in the city of Concepión Uruguay after receiving a blessing by the pastor of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Father Jorge Almeida. They arrived in Pronunciamiento, an area of the Uruguay department, which is 100 kilometers away. The Pronunciamiento priest awaited them and gauchos on horseback escorted them.
Songs, praying the Holy Rosary, and music marked the entire trip.
