Day of Roses for our dear MTA!

Day of roses in Mulgoa AUSTRALIA,  Sr. M. Julie Brcar. Mothers’ Day in Mulgoa, Australia, was marked by an abundance of roses, expressions of love and gratitude by the many Pilgrims who visited the Shrine on Sunday, 9th of May 2010.

At the usual 9:30am Holy Mass all mothers in attendance were able to receive a blessed flower from their children.

During Holy MassIn front of the altar were jars filled with carnations. Before the final blessing, all children were invited to get a flower and present it to their Mothers. The joy and gratitude of the mothers was indescribable. It was also delightful to see the enthusiasm, joy and love with which the children presented the flower to the mothers, along with an embrace.

Following Holy Mass, all were invited to process to the Shrine where there was a short mediation and renewal of the Covenant of Love. Live music provided a joyful and family like atmosphere.

All Pilgrims who visited the Shrine between 7am to 9:30pm had the opportunity to honour our Blessed Mother in a special way by presenting her with a rose as an expression of their love and gratitude.

By the ShrineKnowing that many Pilgrims would honour Our Lady in the Shrine, we had to limit one rose per Pilgrim. By the end of the day, our Shrine turned into an exquisite and colourful “Garden of Roses”. It is beautiful to see how much our dear MTA is loved, here in our Mulgoa Shrine.
