A New Idea for Home Shrines Among the Girls’ Youth

Girls with their mobile home shrinesBRAZIL, Sr. M. Rosangela. Some of the Girls’ Youth in Palmitinho in Rio Grande do Sul state used their creativity to set up their home shrines in the shape of the Pilgrim Mother images so that our MTA can accompany them to other cities when they begin their university studies.

Home Shrine: Mater Ter Admirabilis

It was with great joy that the first Schoenstatt Girls’ Youth group from the St Teresa Parish in Palmitinho prepared their home shrines.

Since the beginning of the year, the girls have been preparing for this moment and conquering their home shrines, which they decided to design in the form of the Pilgrim Mother because they will all be studying in different towns next year and want to take the MTA with them.

How beautiful it is to be a Christian and live for an ideal

Home Shrine: Mother and Queen of LoveThe celebration was very simple where the images were blessed at the end of a community Mass in the parish church. The group then said their prayer in the church before going out to each of their homes where each girl said a prayer to welcome the Blessed Mother into their home.

We trust that our Mother will accompany each of these girls on their pilgrimage so that they can overcome all obstacles and live their ideal of being a lily for the world, witnessing to other young people, especially at the universities they will attend. How beautiful it is to be a Christian and live for an ideal.

The girls who conquered their home shrines:

  • Jaqueline Arboit – Home shrine “Tabor of the Immaculata”

  • Camila Zanata Zuchi – Home shrine “Mother and Queen of love”
  • Júlia Piaia Raimundo – Home shrine “Servus Mariae Nunquam Peribit”
  • Jossana Zanata Pastório – Home shrine “Mother and Queen of my heart”
