BRAZIL, Sr. M. Paula. The last patient hospitalized at Santa Maria University Hospital, a victim of the fire that killed 239 young people, was discharged on Monday morning. With the support of her family, especially her three-year old daughter Luiza Ferreira, Carmem Janaína Rodrigues, a 26-year old student, has returned home.
She found her daughter learning to write with the image of Our Lady of Schoenstatt in her hand. Together with her mother, Janaína stopped at the Schoenstatt Shrine in Santa Maria on her way home, something Janaína’s mother and daughter had done daily to give thanks for her recovery, after she suffered a heart attack and was in a coma for four days.
