The Diocesan Administrator of Mar del Plata and Archbishop-elect of La Plata, Gabriel Mestre, presided at the closing Mass of the Ver Sacrum Mission of the Schoenstatt Youth of Mar del Plata, in the parish of St. Andrew of Miramar. The pastor, Father Pablo Boldrini, and the advisor of the movement in that diocese, Father Juan Cruz Mennilli, concelebrated the Eucharist.

Along with a large group of faithful, three novices of the Schoenstatt Fathers, who are doing their social internship as part of their novitiate in Mar del Plata, also participated in the Mass.

The mission, which was carried out with the motto “Sacred Springtime, creating a heaven on earth”, was led by some 35 university youths of the Schoenstatt Youth of the Mar del Plata diocese, who for four days visited the community of the Aeroparque neighborhood of the seaside city, where they visited house by house to share the Word, and also held workshops for adults and youth.

During the Eucharist, Bishop Mestre thanked the young people for their efforts and dedication, and encouraged them to always follow the path of mission, strengthening their faith in their daily dedication.

At the end of the Mass, the pastor and the community thanked the outgoing bishop for his tireless pastoral work in the diocese and, particularly, for the retreats and meetings shared with the community of San Andrés throughout his six years as diocesan pastor.
