Your Covenant our MISSION

Quote of the Week. We are called to be witnesses to our Christianity in this world, before all men. And this testimony should take place not so much in words, but especially in our actions and deeds because the modern world wants words to become deeds; principles to be effects; faith and charity to be works.

The only face Christ can show to our contemporaries – to call them and convert them – is ours, that of our families, of our communities and groups.

It is the only convincing proof that He continues to live: that our Christian community, our families, each one of us lives with so much love and faithful service that others feel the desire to unite with us. May they only explain our Christian service to others admitting that Christ is alive anew in us.

Fr. Nicolas Schwizer, Paraguay (taken from: Fr. Nicolas preaches via Internet, June 2012).

At Schoenstatt the tents of a covenant culture
are designed to depict the actual engagement of the international Schoenstatt Family, that is, the actually existing projects
renewed and re-invigorated by the missionary formative power of the covenant of love, and by the preparations for 2014, or in the spirit of 2014,
in the sense of a covenant culture and international networking.

These are a concrete and efficient answer to the actively perceived voices of the times. This has to do with a presentation of initiatives that exist in fact,
not with a deeper academic understanding, talks
or collections of material on these subjects.
We don’t want to explain Schoenstatt’s charism, what we are and want to be, in theory; we want to show it in our missionary and apostolic projects
as a realisation of the Founding Document of 18 October 1914:
First show me that you really love me.
