Hause.
From the Original Shrine in Schoenstatt -
Blessed Advent 1999!
You are remembered here.
The light from Bethlehem was brought into the Original Shrine at the 7:15 Holy Mass.
The students of the Schoenstatt Fathers prepared the Mass texts and songs
with the theme of the light. On Friday, November 26th members of the Ladies of
Schoenstatt, the Adoration Sisters and students of the Schoenstatt Fathers'
attended the solemn celebration in the Cathedral in Trier - for the bringing of
the light from Bethlehem. The students placed a sign by the light that read:
Light of Hope - light from Bethlehem. The light was brought to the Original
Shrine in a kerosene lantern and before the opening prayer the vigil light by
the Vincent Pallotti statue was lit. All those who come to the Original Shrine
were prayed for - that they might experience the light of hope from this place
of grace throughout the Holy Year. After Mass, people spontaneously bought
vigil lights outside the Original Shrine and lit them to take the light of
Bethlehem to their homes.
