"Just a Moment ...!"
Echoes from the October Week
May 31st: Not a celebration but a program - that was the
direction of the presentations for October 16, the first day of the October Week.
The participants shared:
|
Annemarie Lanzke, Mothers' League, Hildesheim
"There was so much life in Bellavista and this is what I want to bring back to
Germany. We should feel the new excitement here, also. We are not from the old
century but we are called for the new millennium. Fr. Kentenich has a message for
the church and we want to courageously share this with the others!"
|
Jörg Reuther, Michael Becker, Simon Wadle, Johannes Dejon, Boys' League
"I am proud of Fr. Güthlein. His message sets the pace for a future vision for
Schoenstatt." - "The video clip was super!" - "The young people really liked what
he said!" - "He spoke about what is important for us as young people. This moved
our hearts and he gave a direction of how Schoenstatt can be "ours" in the future."
- "It is important for me that Schoenstatt is not compartmental but reaches out to
others." - "For me, I was proud that Clemens (one of the Boys' Youth members from
Eichstatt) could speak. He did not need to be a professor or doctor."
|
Elisabeth Federl, Mothers' League, Eichstätt
"Fr. Güthlein shared a new perspective that is FANTASTIC. We need something
different than Schoenstatt as a closed community. I was happy to hear that we can
respect and learn from other communities and parishes - they have a mission for our
church, also. We can learn from each other. To me it is important to learn about
the younger generations` perspective. I enjoy contact with the youth and I help cook
for the boys` camps. It was great that these young people could share and to see
how they try to make Schoenstatt their own."
|
Pfarrer Georg Egle, Diocesan Priests' Institute
"I enjoyed meeting so many young people today. I am glad they are here and can
contribute to "our" Schoenstatt."
