"Just a Minute ..."
Echoes from the October Week in Schoenstatt, Germany
Over 1000 people have come to attend the October Week in
Schoenstatt. What expectations do they have? What are you looking forward to?
Echoes from the first evening:
|
Marianne Mertke, Women`s Federation, Trier Diocese
"I hope that we are inspired during this October week to bring excitement
and enthusiasm into the third millenium, excitement for Schoenstatt!"
|
Elisabeth Schenk, Women`s League, Augsburg Diocese
"Most of all I am looking forward to the Covenant Renewal at the Original Shrine
and to meet with the other participants. The talks are important, too, but sharing
with the others is more important. to me."
|
Paul Gausling, Family League, Aachen Diocese
"I would like to know what direction Schoenstatt is taking for the next year
and into the future. We were not in Chile, but I would like to experience the
atmosphere from this Jubilee during this week."
|
Barbara Pons, Women`s Federation, Aachen Diocese
"Meeting old acquaintances, getting to know new people - that is what I like.
I was not in Chile since I could not get off from my work. I would like to experience
some of the joy from Chile. I experience with the October week that we are united in
our mission from here."
|
Paul Hannappel, Brother of Mary, Cambrai/France
"What the Octoberfest is for Munich is what the October Week is for Schoenstatt!
The family meets and everyone is there."
|
Bernhard Irsch, Boys`Youth, Trier Diocese
"Most of all I am looking forward to sharing and to see what we are going to do
for next year especially reguarding the boys' youth. I have high hopes for what "our"
Father Güthlein sets a direction for the future. What would be important is that
we would go into the public sphere. I would like to get new ideas from the displays
in the Father Kentenich House: especially how I can bring Schoenstatt to young people
and to the world. That is what is most important!"
|
Ricardo Cornejo, Brother of Mary, Chile
"This is the first time that I participate in the October week. It will be
interesting to share - especially about the experiences from Chile. I was not in
Chile for the celebration on May 31st but I was in Schoenstatt. I am looking forward
to seeing how the 31st of May experience will be shared here."
