Two highlights are planned in conjunction with a reliving of the celebration of the Jubilee of May 31st in Chile, and looking forward to the coming Year of Jubilee, 2000.

On Saturday, October 23rd, representatives from Western Australia, Queenlsland, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, and New South Wales will install a Father Symbol in the Father room of the Joseph Kentenich House by the National Shrine at Mulgoa. This has been planned as a mark of solidarity with our international family as the Father Symbol is installed in the Founder Chapel. Their symbol, slightly smaller in size to the one being installed in the Founder Chapel, has travelled to the various groups throughout this Year of the Father.

In the Father Room, it will be a constant reminder to us of Father Kentenich's promise to the Australian Schoenstatt Family. "I will come from heaven." This was his reply when asked when he would visit Australia. For the small Australian Schoenstatt Movement, it is a holy legacy. They want to live in the reality of his new presence with them "from heaven".

On Sunday, October 24th, they will celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the first crowning by the Schoenstatt Movement in Australia. This was on the occasion of the crowning of the Victress in the Adoration Church on Mount Schoenstatt. At that time, Mary, Mother Thrice Admirable, accepted a precious crowning gift - the life of one of the fathers in our small family branch.

For the silver Jubilee, our Lady has accepted another family father as crowning gift. On of the long standing leaders in the Family Branch in New South Wales, Peter Loughlin, died very suddenly on October 7th, feastday of Our Lady of the Rosary. He had taken the crown to the Jubilee celebrations in Chile. Says one of the Australian Schoenstatt members: "He will now celebrate the renewed crowning in heaven."
