PARAGUAY, mkf. Even some of the advisors from the Mothers’ Branch in Germany were enchanted and considered the idea of doing something similar. "After abandoning it for many years, ‘my diary’ casually landed in my lap again, and I –to my surprise- began to work again on my Spiritual Daily Order (SDO)," commented a lady with many years in the Movement. "It is so pretty and precious that you might not fall into the temptation of leaving it aside." She was referring to the fact that the physical look of her Spiritual Daily Order or ‘my diary’ is very attractive due to its beauty and professional format. "Our life diary is distributed in Argentina and in Paraguay," says Fr. Antonio Cosp, Director of the Paraguayan Schoenstatt Movement. "But this one is really new: format, diagrams, and overall the organic proposal of the formative system for the new man in the new community." It is more than the usual little gray, white, or blue booklets with a monthly sheet for the SDO. It has inspirational thoughts for each month, which include pictures and stories about Fr. Kentenich’s life spread throughout the twelve months of the year. In addition, it has an introduction about the meaning and practice of the SDO, the self-exam, and it begins with a presentation of the personal ideal as the guiding star in our lives. It has given emphasis to the freedom and uniqueness of each person, as well as a way of living that Fr. Kentenich found invaluable for the Christian to use in the many non-Christian environments. "There is a starting point with the pedagogical contract and also one with the SDO…" says Fr. Antonio Cosp. Who are the authors? "The Pedagogic workshops from the Paraguayan Movement achieved a masterpiece with the help from the central of advisors," he explains. Covenant Foundation and Argentina Patris Editorial also collaborated. It could be an apostolate…The diary has spread out inside the Schoenstatt Movement apart from Argentina and Paraguay, and Fr. Antonio thinks also further from the Movement: "I believe that this will become the tool for our friends from different movements that would like to grow spiritually. I ask you to put it up to the test. It will be a great apostolate. Let’s see." It already happened once, almost100 years ago, when the members of the first Schoenstatt generation spread, along with the MTA magazine, their system of self-education among hundreds, and hundreds of friends, co-workers, and family members… That was the beginning of the Schoenstatt Movement, then.
