MEXICO, Cuchi Gallardo. "Schoenstatt helps us personally in our family life, as spouses, as parents, in our aspirations for a holy marriage and family". A strong testimony of a Schoenstatt family at the VI World Encounter for Families in Mexico. Gustavo Adolfo Gonzales Montes, and Luz Amparo Espinos Rivera from Queretaro, Mexico, are members of the first course of Apostolic Family Federation in Queretaro, Mexico, who participated in the round table: "Organisms that help a Family form values" that was held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009.
The Gonzalez Family from Queretaro represented a group from San Luis Potosí, Queretaro, and Celaya, accompanied by Father Felipe Rios, Sister Lourdes and Sister Christine, who participated enthusiastically in the VI World Encounter for Families. Many members of the Family Work from Germany, Austria, Paraguay and Brazil also attended.
Growing as a Family
In addition to presenting a short summary of the history of the Movement, the Gonzalez Family presented in a very clear and pleasant manner,the commitment of Schoenstatt with the family as a basic cell of the Church, of the culture, and of society by contributing the pedagogy of Father Joseph Kentenich:
In this manner, Schoenstatt was presented to the participants as a movement of the Catholic Church that, among other aspects, not only welcomes the families; rather, it provides tools that will help them in self education and to live day by day seeking the holiness that is desired by every Christian.
The Italian city of Milan will be the site of the next World Encounter for Families in 2012, according to the announcement made last Sunday by Benedict XVI. The Holy Father revealed that the theme of the future assembly would be: "The family, the work, and the celebration"
This would be also be a beautiful motto for Journey 2014 and for all of Schoenstatt on the eve of the centennial of the Covenant of Love!
