AUSTRALIA, mkf. A surprise in Western Australia! A student from Monterrey, Mexico, now studying in Melbourne, came to visit kangaroos, the Shrine in Armadale, and Sr. Lisette – she knew about them thanks to Schoenstatt.de!

"Well here I am (and by I, I mean Aleida) visiting Sister Lisette and the kangaroos in Western Australia," writes Aleida Montalvo. Several readers may remember her from the lively articles she wrote in 2007, when she spent several weeks in Schoenstatt as a Schoenstatt Press Office volunteer, especially in charge of the articles about pilgrimages from Spanish and English speaking countries. "We had a lovely day in the Shrine, and here there are some pictures from our visit. Sr. Kornelia, your ears must be burning as your name came up quite a few times. After Mass, we had breakfast, and then had a little chat followed by lunch. After lunch, we visited the Shrine and ended the day with some bushwalking as we looked for some kangaroos, and succeeded as we saw heaps of them. As you can see I am an Aussie now and loving it…"

Loving it also because there is Schoenstatt… "It was such a joy to catch up with Aleida and for her to be able to visit Perth as she studies in Melbourne," adds Sister Lisette, who frequently shares about Schoenstatt life around the Shrine in Armadale.

It sounds like nothing great, but indeed: isn’t it marvellous that a German Sister of Mary and a Mexican member of the Girls’ Youth meet in Australia, share about common friends, ideals, stories, and adventures, and feel like family?

This is the Covenant of Love, a network of hearts…
