Fortieth Anniversary of Father Kentenich’s death celebrated in Lima, Peru

PERU, Queca Espinoza. The Diocese of San Borja invited the entire Schoenstatt Movement of Lima, Peru, to celebrate this very important date at the parish of Alegría, which had recently been constructed.

The parish priest, Rafael Reátegui, is a Schoenstatt diocesan priest and has sealed the Covenant of Love with the Blessed Mother. First, there was a talk given César Hurtado of San Borja; he emphasized Father Kentenich's joy and humor in educating. Then, the Holy Mass was celebrated.

Invited by the Molina’s Ladies’ Branch, Father Jaime Salazar from Chile presided at the Eucharist and the Covenant of Love ceremony. Concelebrating along with Father Jaime were the Schoenstatt Diocesan Priests Paul Jaimes, Jaime Llamas, José Antonio Arbulú, Rafael Reátegui, and Raúl Leandro. Six women and one man sealed their Covenants of Love with the Blessed Mother. The Church was beautifully adorned with lovely flowers, and filled with more than 200 people. Finally, there was a great time of socializing with the friends of San Borja.
