ARGENTINA, Inés Petiti. On June 18th twenty rosaries were prayed at the Wayside Shrine of the Mother Thrice Admirable of Schoenstatt in the city of Goya, province of Corrientes, Argentina beginning at 10:30 a.m. This was the prayer of the One Thousand Hail Marys – and at 5:00 p.m. an open air Holy Mass was celebrated. Blue and white ribbons were blessed with which the missionaries of the Rosary Campaign crowned their Pilgrim MTAs. They wanted to crown the Pilgrim MTAs with the colors of the nation, so that She, as Queen, will be glorified in Argentina. Gustavo and Virginia each received a Pilgrim MTA, because She is the great missionary, She will work Miracles. The hearts of many were warmed with joy. The script contained many phrases from the Covenant Letter that Father Javier Arteaga, Director of the Movement, sent for June 18th, imploring everyone to unite in prayer for the nation. On this Covenant of Love day, they united at the diocesan bishop’s request and that of the entire Church in Argentina to pray for the nation. They brought an Argentinean flag, blue and white ribbons with which they later crowned the Pilgrim MTAs, and canned food for the Parish of Our Lady of Itati as an offering. The picture of Our Lady of Itati, patroness of Corrientes, presided at the Eucharist along with the Pilgrim MTAs. They crowned the MTA, Queen of the nation-family, just as they did with a group of pilgrims on May 25th at the Cathedral of Lujan. On a day of sad political events in Argentina, those who participated in this Holy Mass departed with great hope beneath the maternal gaze of the MTA as a result of what they had experienced at the humble Wayside Shrine of Goya.
