CHILE, Claudia Peña and Jaime Cortés. Four couples sealed their Covenant of Love with Mary on May 17, 2008, at the Shrine of Nuevo Belén.

After a little more than a year of preparation, the long awaited day, arrived. Everything was ready for this event on a cold afternoon in Santiago. Inside the Shrine the friends and relatives were already waiting, when the entrance procession began: the four couples with Father Raúl Arcila, his advisor and two friends, Father Roberto Navarro and Father Manuel José Rodriguez. The entrance song began the ceremony in a familial and festive atmosphere. They renewed their Baptismal promises, the Creed and faith in God, and then each couple read their consecration prayer in silence. Each one received their Covenant medal and a lighted candle as bearers of the light of Christ and Mary for the world.

The group flag was presented at the altar at the time of the Covenant of Love; the flag reflects their ideals as a concrete contribution to the Schoenstatt Family in Nuevo Belén, as well as the nation at a time when it is very necessary to value the gift of family.

Their group name and ideal is: Disciples of the Shrine, we will cast our nets in your name.
