SWITZERLAND, Marcela Roulin. The Annual Conference for Latin American coordinators and missionaries of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign was held on February 16th and 17th at the National Shrine of Switzerland. Forty-three participants, all residents of Switzerland originally from thirteen Latin American countries attended, along with Sister Veronika Bohler who is the leader of the Spanish and French speaking participants of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign in Switzerland. The motto for their conference was: Mother and Queen! Show us your face!

Sister Adriana from Ecuador who currently resides in Schoenstatt presented the conference and workshops. The participants reflected on the dogmatic and biblical image of Mary according to the words Father Kentenich used to define her.

Through her presentations in their own language, Sister Adrian contributed to the growth and knowledge of our Mother and Queen, which was very enriching for the participants. This brought about a very active exchange and it awakened a renewed enthusiasm in the participants, which was expressed by smiles, amazed expressions, and warm applause at different times during the presentation.

Testimonies about the affectionate hand of Mary

Different testimonies were heard during the two very intensive days concerning the love of our beloved MTA and her affectionate way of expressing it.

Marcela Roulin emotionally related a traumatic experience in her life, which however allowed her to clearly feel Mary’s protection. "I was crossing a pedestrian walkway when I was hit by an automobile. At that moment – and I don’t know why… I was able to move so the hard impact I received did not have the consequences usually associated with this kind of accident." Marcela continued saying, "The anxious young man who was driving tried to explain and he apologized, and I serenely –which is not like me– tried to calm him from the ground while I was helped by several people. Then I was taken to the hospital where they only found bruises but nothing serious." During her narration, a week after the accident, Marcela enthusiastically stressed the participation of our beloved MTA at that moment, since first, "She gave me the agility, then serenity, and finally she saved [me] from a major injury. Thank you, Blessed Mother."

A woman missionary from the Canton area of Switzerland related the difficulties she experienced concerning her mother who suffered from an eye infection for a long time. Her mother had already been through three previous unsuccessful operations for this condition resulting in the opinion expressed by her Panamanian doctors about the doubtful outcome of another attempt to save one of her eyes.

The missionary continued, "On the night before her fourth operation when I could finally fall asleep, the Blessed Mother spoke to me with a very clear and precise voice: ‘she will be healed.’ " Today those experiences are just a memory for the lady who has recovered completely. Through this testimony it was quite clear that the ways of the Blessed Mother are fathomless and she is with always with us!

The Blessed Mother chooses her instruments

A group of ladies, all of them Latin Americans, who regularly attend the Spanish Catholic Mission in Zurich determinedly agreed to become missionaries of the Campaign in that city. They did not know this Blessed Mother who captured their hearts in such a way. Currently they are a very strong evangelization group and they are determined to take the Pilgrim MTA everywhere she wants to go, regardless of the schedules or distances.

They are truly very strongly united as a group. They told about the long awaited nephew of one of the members who was in great danger during his prenatal stage, and when he was being born, they all united in prayer to pray for his birth. The response of our Mother and Queen was a beautiful baby boy full of life!

They agreed that the Blessed Mother NEVER abandons her children. She showers her grace on those who open their hearts wide to her much beloved Son.

In this way they left us with the testimony of "a little piece of heaven" experienced at their conference in February…! And we were enthused with their experiences.
