ARGENTINA, mkf. February 23rd another corner of Argentina was transformed into holy ground with the blessing of a new Wayside Shrine– at this moment probably already no longer the newest one – in a field close to the small town of Adolfo González Chávez in the archdiocese of Bahía Blanca. A candle and a rose of the Illuminated Rosary said that same day in Schoenstatt were destined for the new place of grace and all who stay there.

"Everything was very pretty and I felt the presence of the Blessed Mother when we came to the little corner in the field," related Marinés Garda de Garglio. Father Ruben blessed the Wayside Shrine along with priests of the parish and Family memebers. On the day of the blessing, Marinés Garda de Garglio with joy and gratitude carried the Pilgrim MTA, which had been on missions since 1994, to the new Wayside Shrine.

All the life!

All the life that is going to be sent out from in this Wayside Shrine! It is like life that can be felt and seen in the thousands of Wayside Shrines across the country. Elisa Lasalle from Villa General Belgrano, where there has been a Wayside Shrine for two years in, explains:

"I was saying the Holy Rosary in the chapel a little while back, it is very pretty. Some time ago, we came and found new wooden flower pots like some that were there already, planted with some very nice flowers, we don’t know who put them there, most likely someone who was grateful for a favor received. I was alone, contemplating the mountains ranges, the sounds, the many different trees, and the diverse, distinctive kinds of green surrounding the Wayside Shrine, feeling a great peace as if the Blessed Mother was with her. The Sacred Heart of Jesus statue in the beautiful garden of the school kept me company and a little further on I contemplated the little bell tower with the beautiful bells, actually a gift of Father. Yes, here I am walking on holy ground.

A woman approached to pray and I gave her some stamps of the Blessed Mother, I also found a paper for the Capital of Grace for the MTA. A young lady, Teresita Caldarella who is a missionary from Marcos Juárez, another city quite a distance from here in the same province of Cordova, was very happy when she found the Wayside Shrine and requested our prayers.

Monday, January 29th brought us a surprise visit here in Father Guillermo Cassone’s (who is now in Rome) house. The Bishop of Caacupé, Paraguay brought wine. He is

also a Schoenstatt Father and stayed for about fifteen minutes that we enjoyed greatly …"
