ARGENTINA, Fr. Mauricio Torres Marín. A meeting of the Southern Cone Schoenstatt Institute of Diocesan Priests,December 26th to the 29th, was a very blessed and fraternal event in which the members met and shared with their brothers from other countries. Twenty participated: three seminarians, one Deacon in transit, and sixteen priests from: Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Chile. A new course of candidates composed of four Brazilians, two Argentineans, and one Chilean was officially begun during this meeting of the priestly course. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Shrine in New Schoenstatt in Florencio Varela, but they also went on pilgrimage to the Bethlehem Shrine in Escobar where they enjoyed a delicious lunch and an afternoon of recreation. The joyfully and warmly engaging testimony of the German and eldest priest, Father Jorge Falch, in the paternal style of the Father and Founder was a special gift and highlight for all who attended this meeting. These priests asked prayers for the priests of the Institute and especially for vocations from Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Chile. Translation: Celina Garza, Harlingen, TX, USA/amj |
