Camp 2008: God of Life of the Schoenstatt Boys’ Youth of Bolivia

BOLIVIA, José Barriga / Pedro Salas. The year started with great activities for the Schoenstatt male youth in Bolivia. They had their summer camp from the 2^nd to 9^th of January in the unexpected location of Achocalla, forty-five minutes away from the capital La Paz.

Due to massive demonstrations on the main roads in Bolivia, it wasn’t possible to get to the original place where the camp was meant to be (Sorata three hours away from La Paz), but the Blessed Mother demonstrated her way of working things out and accomplished this camp with the help of two Schoenstatt seminarians from Chile: Claudio Martinez and Pablo Gajardo.

God’s different ways to show his love

This annual summer camp was attended by thirty-eight young men who were looking for ways to discover God in their own lives; the motto of the summer camp was The God of Life and was wisely guided by the two Chilean guests who enjoyed the company of Bolivian younger ones.

Everyone in this summer camp was pleased as they found different ways to know them- selves and some of the different ways God shows us his love in everyday life. The daily Mass and soccer games completed this annual summer camp in Bolivia.
