ARGENTINA, Clara Herbón. Three years ago when my husband and I had the Wayside Shrine near our hotel blessed, if some had asked me what I was going to do in respect to Schoenstatt, I would have responded that I didn’t know because that was the truth. Since we had moved to Patagonia, I had not done anything in Schoenstatt. I didn’t know what the Blessed Mother wanted, or what her plans were. What I can affirm is that everything happened through the Blessed Mother’s initiative. As Father Esteban Uriburu would say, "the important thing is to build a little house for the Blessed Mother, her Wayside Shrine. Then she will take care of pointing out the tasks." And this happened once again, here, in Villa La Angostura. Little by little, Mary began to show us the way she wanted to go. When we finished the Wayside Shrine, I promised Sister Kornelia that I would tell her what the Blessed Mother wanted to carry out in this small city of Patagonia. And so I did when the first Pilgrim MTA arrived and the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign started here, in 2006. Now the way was open so that "She could manifest herself as the great sign." Talk about Schoenstatt and the CampaignSome months ago, Pilgrim MTA Number 1 went missing; no one on the list had her. It occurred to me to place a notice with the picture of the MTA at the post office and in the supermarkets. A lady called answering my notice; she told me that the secretary of the school where she worked had it. It was then that I met Noemi and Maria Cristina, two ladies who had a prayer group and who were enthused about becoming missionaries. But the Blessed Mother did not stop there and went further. That is how Silvia and Marisa, two other ladies who wanted to work for the Pilgrim Mother, appeared. Silvia will work with a Pilgrim MTA for families and Marisa, with a Pilgrim MTA for the sick and for those in the hospital. We presented a talk about Schoenstatt and the Campaign at one of the homes, many people who would receive the Pilgrim MTA attended. On October 18th, at the Wayside Shrine in the garden of our house, we commissioned Maria Cristina with a Pilgrim MTA. It was a special day; we prayed the rosary with the group the MTA would visit. This was on Covenant Day, the day in which we unite spiritually with all the Family, and where October 18th, 1914 is recalled by renewing the Covenant of Love in the Shrines and Wayside Shrines around the whole world. It was truly a celebration in the communityAnd on November 18th, Covenant Day and remembering the Father and Founder in a special way since it was his birthday, we commissioned three, new Pilgrim MTA’s, to Noemi, Silvia, and Marisa. The best thing about this news is that we did it in the parish, since the pastor agreed to bless them and commission them after the Sunday Mass. It was truly a celebration in the community! After the ceremony, many people approached us to ask about the Campaign, so that they could receive the Blessed Mother in their homes. Among them were some tourists who had contact with Schoenstatt, a reporter from a local radio station who invited us to her program to talk about the Campaign, and even a lady who had made the Covenant of Love many years ago as a youth approached us to join the missionaries. As I said before, it was truly a celebration; we could say it was an early Advent, an advance of our Mother’s new Visitation to the families and to the hearts. "We must always unite each small step to the great ideal, to the final goal, this gives strength and coherence" (Father Esteban Uriburu). With the help of our Mother, we prepare our hearts so that she can bring new life to our lives and to the families of Villa La Angostura. Clara Bianco Herbon is missionary of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign since the times of Fr. Esteban Uriburu; for work reasons, she moved with her husband to the province of Neuquén, Patagonia, where they run the Hotel Puertas del Sol. www.hosteriapuertasdelsol.com She voluntarily works as a translator for schoenstatt.de (Italian - Spanish).
