USA, Sr. Marie Day. A big red and white tent! Many chairs! An extensive sound system! Delicious Mexican food for 900! A majestic display of 25 Pilgrim MTAs before the altar! Five hundred twenty-five members of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign - fathers and mothers and many children. This was the scene for the celebration of the Schoenstatt family in Loganville, Georgia, on November 10, 2007, in the shadow of the Atlanta wayside shrine.

And the occasion? "We as Schoenstatt family wished to gather with the Church - represented by the General Vicar, Monsignor Luis Zarama - to give witness in our lives to our founder’s Dilexit Ecclesiam, to reach out to fulfill our longing to bring the message and mission of Schoenstatt more and more into the Church", said Lydia and Papo Concepción, coordinators of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign.

This event began with praying the rosary in three languages - English, Spanish, and Yoruba - pointing to the internationality of the Schoenstatt family in Georgia. Holy Mass followed with Father Hector Vega, a Schoenstatt Father, and Father Jose Hernandez, a diocesan priest of the Archdiocese of Atlanta concelebrating with Monsignor Zarama.

It was a festive Eucharistic celebration led by a choir. A procession to the Atlanta wayside shrine closed the celebration. In the wayside shrine the covenant of love was renewed with the longing to bring our Mother and Queen through the Rosary Campaign more and more into the Church and world.

A time of sharing the joy with a meal closed the day. Grateful hearts proclaimed: Yes, this is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad!

I never expected to see that many people together for this event

Two echoes from the day:

"Unity, love, joy in every family - fathers and mothers and children all together in one faith...sharing the same spirit of praying to God through the intercession of our Lady of Schoenstatt." Marce Perez

"On Sunday, November 10, 2007, I joined my brothers and sisters in Christ to celebrate Holy Mass at the Schoenstatt home shrine of our MTA in Loganville. When I arrived, I never expected to see that many people together for this event. I would estimate that 90% of the people were Hispanic. There were several Americans so the Holy Mass was bilingual. I was asked to read the petitions during the Holy Mass - what an honor! I felt blessed but I prayed that I would not make any mistakes. And I wasn’t even nervous. When I received the Body of Christ (I had already given my heart to the MTA) but at that moment we became one. I felt her embrace, I felt her beautiful, perfect hands hold my head against her shoulders. Her Son had led me to a deep encounter with his and my mother!" Annette Hanks

Truly this has been the day that the Lord has made!
