GERMANY, mkf/mca. From the house of the Father – the birth home of Father Kentenich in Gymnich , where he worked as coordinator of the pilgrimages to this place – to the House of the heavenly Father: one week after celebrating another anniversary of the birth of Father Kentenich in Gymnich, Father Karl Bausenhart, who played a leading role in the celebrations in the birth city of Father Kentenich, died on November 27th. A few weeks ago, Father Karl Bausenhart underwent a treatment in the hospital. The families and Schoenstatt Sisters of the Schoenstatt Family work – Father Carlos worked since two years in the dioceses of Northern Germany – recall his profound and very valuable contributions at the annual Journey at the beginning of November in which he participated. The motto for the year 2007 was strongly inspired by him: To grow together –more profoundly, more boldly, more broadly. On Monday, November 20th he was taken from the birth home of Father Kentenich where he stayed after the celebration of the 121st Anniversary of Father’s birthday, to the hospital, from where he was called to an eternally profound and broad life. In the Family Work of Germany, in Gymnich, in Villa Ballester, Argentina –where he worked for many years and where he learned to speak Spanish perfectly – the news of his death awakened a deep sorrow – and many happy memories and gratitude for his person that was always full of humor, of ideas, of warmth, and one of a profound and intimate attachment with the MTA and Father Kentenich. He also worked for many years as general administrator of the Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers, a task that he carried out in a brilliant and masterful manner and which gave him the opportunity to travel throughout the world. In all the countries and places he visited he was able to sow joy, smiles, and he shared good times, that will surely be missed after his sudden departure to the eternal Schoenstatt. Sincere condolences, along with the prayers and the closeness of the Schoenstatt Family are extended to the Community of the Schoenstatt Fathers for the loss of this exceptional brother.
