PARAGUAY. "The doctor who treated the little is my brother, who is a pedritrian. Mirian Mateo de Zucolillo , of the Federation of Families from Asuncion, Paraguay, relates. The story touched the hearts of the people profoundly". "It is the story of a boy three years of age who conquered a cardiac malformation despite the prognosis of the doctors. He overcame his illness fight very hard again death with the very close help of his parents," writes Elvira Olmedo Zorrilla, a journalist, in an article of the ABC newspaper. The mother of the small boy, Teresita Martinaez de Hansen of Cuidad del Este, had a profound devotion to the Blessed Mother of Schoenstatt. She affirms that her boy is a miracle of the Blessed Mother.

"A jubilant bell has rung that announce a holy year for this great family compose of leaders and of a large number of people who goes on pilgrimage and allows themselves to be educated in our shrine. Twenty-five years algo we sang: We want to erect a dwelling place for you, a place where you will always dwell", Says Father Antonio Cosp, Director of the Schoenstatt Movement of Paraguay, in the first newsletter of the year 2006, for the Movement, a year that will be crowned with the silver jubilee of the National Shrine in Tuparenda. "Today we look towards the ufture full of dreams. We know that in the shadow of this shrine the destinies of the Church and the Nation weill be aided in a fundamental manner. After planting comes the crop. It will be the re-founding of Schoenstatt in Paraguay so that our Family will always remain young. May Paraguay resemble heaven more and may it be converted in a Tuparenda will depend on this new impulse that comes from the mysterious action of the MTA from her shrines and of our nothing with us"

Our love, our faith and the constant prayers worked the miracle

One of the large group of people who go on pilgrimage and allows itself to be educated in the Shrine is Teresita, the mother of the small child Ejnar Jesus. "Many mothers love their children because they are blond with blue eyes or because they a complete and robust body and they reject them if they are like that. We, along with my husband, love our son because he is the extension of our love and we give thanks to God, the doctors, nurses and so many people who helped us economically, because Jesus is alive and he shares his joy with us", cites Teresita, a journalist in her article. The interview was held in the home of her mother-in-law in Asuncion.

They young couple who live in Ciudad del Este, both bankers, endured five very delicate operations with their three year old son; three of them were heart surgeries which were very successful in this way defying science since some doctors gave them very little hope of life for their son. "Our love, our faith and the constant prayers that took place for our son worked the miracle of God when on three occasions he almost left us forever. It was between November and December of last year and also in January when his vital sign were declining while he was in intensive care because the tiny little heart of my baby go no further", the mother, who is very devoted to Schoenstatt, recalled with emotion.Teresita relates that when he son was between life and death she prayed with great fervor. When he was very sick in intensive care she took the videos of the small boy where he was playing, running and laughing, to give the doctors and nurses of the Hospital of La Costa of Asuncion strength. Teresita confided that she never lost faith in God for one moment and when he was intensive care and she saw the monitor that show his vital signs declining; she got close to her child and from the heart she told him: "If you want to go with God, son, you aregoing to go, but your mother is going to be very sad without you and I gave him a kiss on his little head and I offered my child to God. In a short while my baby’s heart began beating strongly again, she manifested.

It was then when the doctors and nurses ran from one place to another to reinforce all the equipment and instruments that were necessary to help the young Ejnar maintain his life.

The Silver Anniversary of the most popular Shrine in the world

Our little Jesus is a miracle of life of science and of God", Teresita stressed who held her little one in her arms and she keep kissing her child’s little heard. Ejnar was born on October 4, 2003, the 95th anniversary of the death of Jose Engling, a divine sign of the Covenant of love, with a congenital cardiac defect in ventricle one and he had surgery after four days of life. Three days after the first surgery he had to have heart surgery again. The first time he was in intensive care in Migone with the team of Fr. Jorge Jarline for 45 days and "he was the first miracle of the Blessed Mother of Schoenstatt and of God" because he survived his mother commented. When he was four months old he had heart surgery for the third time, but happily he was only in the hospital for 20 days.

The holy Schoenstatt year, as the Family of Paraguay proclaimed the year of the 25th anniversary of one of the most popular Schoenstatt Shrines of the world (if not the most popular), will surely bring many more "miracles of the Blessed Mother of Schoenstatt."
