A garden of roses for the Mother of GodPilgrimage in Miami, Florida on the eve of Mother's Day |
UNITED STATES, Sara Ycaza. Every year during the month of May, Miami pays tribute to Mary and all the mothers of the world. As it is now a custom, the Schoenstatt Family in Miami, Florida invited everyone to a pilgrimage on the eve of Mother's Day, in honor of the Blessed Mother, with the motto "Mary, Eucharistic Woman". The altar was beautifully decorated with yellow roses; it truly seemed like the Garden of Mary. It was very nice to see the persons praying the Hail Mary and then placing a precious rose at the feet of the Auxiliary Shrine, as a gift for Mother's Day. In gratitude and with filial affection, the Blessed Mother was crowned. It was a solemn moment, accompanied by a beautiful choir composed of people born in Brazil. Father Cristian Christensen spoke about the Eucharist as our reason of life, affirming that we should all be persons who attend Mass daily and be adorers of the Holy Eucharist, that is the Body of Christ. Attendance was fairly good, considering that many families had children or grandchildren making their First Communion or Confirmation. By the intercession of the Blessed Mother, Father Christensen blessed the sick that went to Schoenstatt seeking relief. He also blessed Pilgrim MTA Shrines that were commissioned on this day, and also some Pilgrim MTA Shrines for Health that will visit the sick. |
