New General Rector of the Pallottines

Fr. Fritz Kretz was provincial of the Southern German Province

ROM, www.sac19.org. The XIX General Assembly of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottines), gathered in Rome, elected today, on the 7^th October 2004, Fr. Fritz Kretz SAC, the new Rector General of the Society for the next six years (2004-2010).

Fr. Fritz Kretz was born in 1952 in Germany. He was ordained priest in 1981. At the moment of election as Rector General, Fr. Fritz Kretz has been working as Provincial Rector of the Sacred Heart Province, Germany.

After the election, Fr. Fritz Kretz made the profession of faith and took the oath of fidelity. He also presided over the Eucharistic celebration.

The morning session of October 12 was fully dedicated to the elections of the General Council. The following members have been elected:

• Fr. Zenon Hanas SAC – First Consultor
• Fr. Francesco Todisco SAC – General Consultor
• Fr. Jacob Nampudakam SAC – General Consultor
• Fr. Gilberto Orsolin SAC – General Consultor
