35th anniversary of Father Kentenich's death

All over the world, on this Monday people will specially remember Father Joseph Kentenich - it is the 35th anniversary of his death on September 15, 1968, early in the morning after celebrating Holy Mass. But they do not mourn a dead founder but celebrate a Father, Founder, Prophet, and Educator very much alive through the memories of those who met him during his lifetime, and the experiences of his fatherly care and closeness of those who live out of the experience of his presence. It is a day of gratitude, commitment and allying with Father Kentenich to work for the mission God entrusted to him and the Schoenstatt family that he founded.

Guatemala: First Central American Schoenstatt Meeting

In Esquapulinas in Guatemala - the central place of pilgrimage for Central America - the first Central American Schoenstatt Meeting will take place this day. Schoenstatt in the Central American states is young, often still small, growing, does not count with Shrines, or with members of Institutes or Federations being permanently there. The first Central American Schoenstatt Meeting is awaited with high hopes by all in view of coordination of the apostolate and further growth.
