Wind and storm of the Holy Spirit For the crowning, four large candles representing the place of origin, the countries where Schoenstatt is present, all the Schoenstatt communities, and the Church at the threshold of the Third Millennium, were carried up to the Victress picture in the Adoration Church. One postulant from the Schoenstatt Fathers, one Girls' Youth Member from the USA, one Philippine novice of the Ladies of Schoenstatt, and one German family brought the candles forward. We had already experienced the power of the Holy Spirit the evening of May 30th with wind and storm (and heavy rain!). The wind and storm of this evening showed in a joyful, united family around their Father and their Queen. Then the flags were taken down to the Bundesheim where the family gathering took place. Father Penners encouraged us not to forget the flags of the countries from where nobody would be present. "I will take the flag from Paraguay, because they can't be forgotten." said one German. "Where is the flag from Paraguay?" asked the young mother from Paraguay. Learning that probably someone had already taken the flag, she said: "I'll take the flag from Uruguay!" From 7- 9 PM there was time for personal prayer in the Original Shrine and the Founder Chapel. A Brazilien carried the flag downhill to the Bundesheim, but instead of putting it into the stands there, she walked ahead towards the Original Shrine. "I want to bring my country to the Original Shrine first!" |
