ARGENTINA, P. Esteban Casquero. The Schoenstatt Family from Coronel Suarez in the "land of pampas" of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, allows all the family to closely follow, their development, step by step, - the founding of the groups of the Mothers’ Branch, of the Family Work, of the youth, and the growth of the Campaign. June 18th was the first 18th celebrated as a family – the fruit of the first encounter as a Schoenstatt Family, which was held on May 31, 2009. We had agreed with the Family to gather every 18th (which did not fall on Saturday or Sunday) at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart at the hospital where Father Esteban celebrates daily Mass. On June 18th, many people attended, the Chapel came to life and they even had a choir that animated the liturgy. Truly a day of celebrationIt was noticeable that the 31st of May was a very blessed day for the community. It was the first encounter of the Family from Coronel Suarez. They gathered Sunday, at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima. To the joy of everyone present, some of the "first people" from the 1980’s arrived; that was during the time that Sister Alejandra and Father Daniel Jany (a member of the Schoenstatt Federation Family) would come once in a while. The little hall at the back of the Chapel filled up rapidly with the girls from the Girls’ Youth and some of the Boys’ Youth (especially the secondary members), missionaries from the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign, Mothers, Couples from the Family Work also attended…in a word, it was truly a day of celebration!!! His charismatic personality always generates attachmentThe idea of gathering allowed the groups to get acquainted. It was truly a family celebration. They shared mate (herbal tea), and very delicious pastries! Then they went to the Chapel where they held a time of reflection about the Third Milestone of Schoenstatt. It was the first 31st of May as a Family. It helped them to learn more about Schoenstatt and the Founding Father’s thinking. Many were interested in his person after the talk. His charismatic personality always generates attachment! They were accompanied by that very beautiful photo of Father Kentenich holding the small bag in his hands with the chalice he presented to the Pope, after the goings and comings, the chalice is now reposed in the Church of God the Father in New Schoenstatt.
