PARAGUAY, Javier Cabral. Our motto this year as the Paraguayan Family is: Our Father lives within me, where I prepare a home. Among our Family at Ciudad del Este, the desire to crown our Queen as Queen of our Father’s Garden is growing day by day toward the 10th anniversary of the blessing of our Shrine (01-10-2010). Our MTA has given us infinite amounts of blessings and yes, from the parish, we began to question ourselves about what we could offer on her behalf to her children who arrive at this blessed place, where she unfolds herself as our Queen?
How could we make our national motto come true? How do we prepare a home? How do we show through our actions that we love her? How do we become instruments in her hands to show her love to others?
One of the ideas that we put into action was to take care of our MTA’s little ones, in this case the less fortunate children in our community.
And so we did through Hearts join in the Covenant of Love with Mary; everyone gave their generous and enthusiastic yes. Health professionals and volunteers spent a day together on May 23rd tending to the sick.
Eighty children were helped, and after they were done with the pediatric appointments, they collected medicine, a toothbrush, and gave a demonstration on how to brush their teeth correctly along with a small breakfast.
At the end of the day, all the team members made a pilgrimage to the Shrine, where in holy silent prayer, they offered their work for the day and happy service to the children… we would like to give our MTA’s love to the little ones making them feel at home, and all for the crown of Our Mother and Queen Thrice Admirable of Schoenstatt.
