ARGENTINA, Alicia Granieri. The Covenants’ of Love that the Lily Group missionaries sealed in the Shrine of the Mother and Queen of the People, located in a corner of the Buenos Aires province in Argentina, are bearing fruit in the city of Bahia Blanca. The Lily Group of missionaries welcomed the Auxiliary MTA Shrine with great love and enthusiasm during the month of May, as they do every year. During this month, the Auxiliary MTA traveled to schools, a retirement center, businesses, a medical office, a Scout group, to catechists, the youth, and the missionary group, I.A.M., etc. On Sautrday the 30th, One Thousand Hail Marys were prayed in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. During the month, the group worked with the motto of this year: Attached through Mary, we will build up the community. The work consisted in taking a piece (of a puzzle) of the Unity Cross, which would be assembled by everyone, and by having each missionary pray for another missionary in the group. They also prayed for the unity of the group. They meditated on whom and where they might see the face of Christ on the Cross. Finally they shared about whether they practiced the virtues, or about the difficulties of living with one another. Gratitude for the 60th Anniversary of the Third Schoenstatt MilestoneOn May 30th, during each rosary, they presented a petition to Mary and her Son, Jesus, for their community, for the Nation, and for peace in the world. This year the special intention was to express gratitude for the 60th Anniversary of the Schoenstatt milestone, the 31st of May 1949. The entire community participated guided by and praying with the missionaries, the pilgrims who received the Pilgrim MTA, the youth catechists, representatives from the chapel commission, and Pastor, Miguel Ángel. The last rosary was an illuminated one, and each person who was present approached to light a little candle, express their gratitude, or present a petition. This was all done with great devotion. The crownThe participants became teary eyed when some pancitos and caseritos (little breads) were offered to the Auxiliary MTA as a symbol of sharing the Bread of Heaven with each other. A BLUE ribbon symbolized family unity, and She was crowned as Queen of Unity they placed a little Unity Cross on the crown that they offer the Blessed Mother every year to symbolize this. All of this was done with the AVE MARIA playing in the background. Emotion, joy, and much love were experienced on that day. They concluded by sharing the bread with delicious tea. Thank you MOTHER AND QUEEN OF THE PEOPLE for the many blessings we have received, and Lily Group’s missionaries say: NOTHING WITHOUT YOU, NOTHING WITHOUT US.
