USA, Ema Malaga. On June 13th, the Schoenstatt Family from St. Brigit’s Church in New York City celebrated the first anniversary of the enthronement of the MTA picture in their parish church. As an act of gratitude, they prayed an illuminated rosary, which began at eight o’clock in the evening, and was lead by Mrs. Ana Mayorga, and a another member of the Mothers’ group. They shaped the rosary with fifty-three white candles and red roses for the Hail Marys; six red candles and white roses, as well as six Pilgrim MTAs represented the beads of the Our Fathers. For each "Hail Mary," special intentions were offered individually; each person would come near the altar to offer his or her red rose to Mary. They would light the candle, say their intention, and then pray the "Hail Mary". At the "Our Fathers," petitions were made for each of our church’s’ ministries. The Auxiliary MTA, that had come from Our Lady of the Martyrs in Manhattan parish, presided the Illuminated Rosary. Sr. Irraida Guerra was present, and at least seventy people participated. The prayer time ended with the exposition and blessing of the Blessed Sacrament. The group, Apocalypses, provided the songs, and music. The next day, June 14th at 9:00 am, Holy Mass was celebrated in honor of the MTA. Mass was celebrated by Fr. Cesar García and again music was again provided by Apocalypses. When the events were over, a fraternal celebration began, which was hosted by the Mothers’ Group. More flowers for our MTA garden. The Schoenstatt Family from St. Brigit’s Church is still growing. Many ladies from the Mother’s Group sealed their Covenant of Love with the MTA. Sr. Irraida had prepared them. The community welcomes Inés Núñez, Rosina Renjifo, Amanda Meléndez, Alexis Abreu, and Altagracia Aybar as new allies of the MTA! Translation: Gaby Fernandez, Wenatchee, USA |
