ARGENTINA, Osvaldo Martín. On Saturday, June 14, 2009, the 14th Diocesan Assembly was held at Marin School in the San Isidro area of Buenos Aires, where the Schoenstatt Movement was asked to provide a booth along with other movements, publishers, religious institutes, etc. The different Schoenstatt branches and action groups were represented in the booth along with Osvaldo Martina with his wife, Elvira, who represented both the Joseph Kentenich Pedagogical Center and the Volunteers of Mary. It was a spectacular conference, where thousands of people attended to evaluate the realities of the diocese in an atmosphere of great camaraderie. Throughout the entire conference, the Schoenstatt booth was visited by many of those in attendance, and they were very interested in taking brochures on the different aspects of the Movement. Pleasant visit of the bishopMidway through the conference, we had a pleasant visit from Bishop Jorge Casaretto of the Diocese of San Isidro, who approached us to express his gratitude for the participation of the Schoenstatt Movement in such an important event. After the conference, Bishop Casaretto presided at Holy Mass accompanied by several priests, and since this assembly coincided with the Feast of Corpus Chrisit, a procession was held with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. It was definitely an unforgettable day where the different facets of our beloved Catholic Church gathered to demonstrate their joy and confraternity. Translation: Celina Garza, San Antonio, USA/amj |
