A Fountain of Grace for Pigüé

Pigüé: May 1st anniversary of the Wayside Shrine "Fountain of Grace"

ARGENTINA, Dora Coronel. The 16th Anniversary of the Fountain of Grace Wayside Shrine at Pigüé, in the Archdiocese of Bahia Blanca, which is located at the intersection of Colon and the 4 de diciembre Avenue, was celebrated with joy and emotion. The missionaries from Bahia Blanca kindly brought the Auxiliary Pilgrim MTA and picture of John Pozzobon along with them.

The procession began at Our Lady of Luján Paris and was led by the Auxiliary Pilgrim MTA. There were reflections, prayers and songs, until they arrived at the Wayside Shrine, where more people were waiting. Father Daniel presided at the celebration; the attendance in this moving event was estimated to be more than one hundred pilgrims.

The Blessed Mother gazed upon the ceremony

Margarita, a new missionary, consecrated herself at the Wayside Shrine. It seems as if the Mother Thrice Admirable said: "I only need your heart. Your heart to be transformed, and a place in your home to establish myself, then I can assume my task as Mother and Educator." Then another missionary, Lucia, crowned her Pilgrim MTA’s, "To crown Mary signifies giving Her a material and spiritual Crown. She is the Mother and Queen, the power and strength that comes from God belongs to Her."

Renewal of the missionary commitment

"It is time to become more and more, ‘A living family, the hope of Argentina, ’" as stated in the motto of year for the Movement in Argentina, "We are all missionaries bearers of the Good News." This was the tone of the renewal of the missionary commitment. The words of John Pozzobon were recalled: "I offer myself as a holocaust for my treasured family for the grand mission that was entrusted to me: The great Campaign of the Holy Rosary and the apostolate in general."

They concluded with the burning of the papers on which they had written their contributions to the Capital of Grace.

Beloved Blessed Mother: Happy Anniversary, thank you for sheltering, transforming, and sending us forth from this Wayside Shrine to the world. We rely on the strength of the Covenant of Love to continue the mission that God entrusted to all the Schoenstatt Family for service to the Church, so that it can be the light of evangelization for the Third Millennium

They sang happy birthday with joy. The majority of the people went to the Chapel of the Holy Family of Nazareth, where a table with pastries, coffee, tea, and mate (an herbal tea) awaited them. Then they heard a talk presented by Blanca about the closing of the diocesan process for canonization of John Pozzobon. The gathering concluded with some closing remarks by Father Daniel about current events.
