Work around the Original Shrine – renovations on the House Wasserburg property

SCHOENSTATT, mkf. For a few weeks now, visitors to the Original Shrine see an uncommon sight. Renovations are taking place on the neighboring land adjacent to House Wasserburg which belongs to the Pallottine Fathers.
Already in mid-March, the rector of House Wasserburg, Fr. Alexander Diensberg SAC, informed Schoenstatt by letter that there would be "extensive measures of renovation and rehabilitation around House Wasserburg." He explained that a part of the athletic field would be excavated to create a hollow on the land where a court (athletic field) would be built closer to House Wasserburg and the stream. He explains that, especially at the beginning, there needs to be a great movement of earth which may also cause some significant burdens around the chapel of grace.
He asked for understanding on behalf of Schoenstatt for these measures, which – as he said – "will also contribute to a more serene climate around the chapel of grace."
